Baboons (papio) are amongst the most infamous animals in South Africa. Because of their destructive behaviour towards agriculture, they are a plague for many farmers. Among our 3d animals, it is one of the most popular target. In real life, size and weight depend on the species. In total there are 3 different species. Baboons prefer the savannah, or people inhabited areas. They are opportunists – they eat what is given at the moment. With their long, sharp canines, baboons can also become extremely dangerous for humans.

Chameleons (Chamaeleonidae) have a 360 ° panoramic view and can move their eyes independently of each other. Some chameleon species can change their color, with the advantage of absorbing sunlight better, or confusing attackers. Two chameleons can communicate with their skin color. Dark colors signal attack readiness, bright colors on the other hand show readiness for mating. They catch their prey with the tongue by sucking it with underpressure. The majority of the chameleon species are located on the island of Madagascar.

Never mess with a porcupine (Hystricidae)! The spiny, black/white rodents are also fighting with lions, leopards and other predators as soon as they feel threatened – ahead with the bottom. The mammals 40 cm long needles can be very dangerous for opponents. The spikes evolve from transformed hair and consist of keratin. Porcupines are found in parts of Asia, Africa and also southern Europe.

Turkeys (Meleagris gallopavo) are the largest species of chicken. They are distinguished by their glorious plumage, their red neck and head. Wild turkeys can fly up to 80km/h fast. With 20 kilos, our turkey is heavier than some of our big antelopes.
