The Roan Antelope (Hippotragus equinus) is one of the largest antelopes in Africa with a shoulder height of 140cm. The antelopes of about 15 animals living in a group are dominated by a bull. However, if water is sought, or the group looks out for pretadors, the strongest female of the herd leads the group. If an outside bull defeats the leader, he will go his own way in the future without joining a group ever again.
